As one faces the painting, the polarity between yellow and purple is observed. I present yellow as the predominant color, yet I enhance its illumination and demonstrate its connection with purple. Initially, one notices texts, writings, underlines, and arrows, all in various colors and shapes to capture the viewer's attention. However, there is a predominant form: the brain.
At first glance, this painting exhibits its rational/analytical character. My intention for this piece is to show the viewer what our brain might look like if it were photographed in the act of thinking; lines of thought and images of events. I also want to draw attention to self-control, as I have frozen or photographed thoughts on a specific topic; to emphasize our ability to think and not think about whatever an individual wants.
As our attention focuses, we realize that the lines of thought say nothing about the brain itself, but rather about intuition, instinctive feeling. If we look even closer, I bring attention to the solar plexus chakra; scientifically, this is located at the back of our stomach; near our spine, there is a layer of nerves, which I would call an autonomic nervous system, where hormones are released into our body.
In summary, I have only presented the form and called attention to the feeling.
