Olayinka Salami

Olayinka Salami, born on January 23, 1998, in Ogun State and currently residing in Lagos, Nigeria, is a promising artist who embarked on his artistic journey relatively recently.

His fascination with the world of art began at a young age, but it was in the year 2018 that he took up painting. This pivotal decision was influenced by a group of artistic friends known as "The Kolony," which he became a part of.

Olayinka's artistic creations serve as a means to convey the emotional essence of the human mind in response to its surroundings. Through his works, he crafts metaphorical expressions of various themes and offers his unique aesthetic perspective on nature, fashion, and the environment.

In 2021, Olayinka Salami made his debut in the art world with his first exhibition, which was dedicated to the Month of Black Art History. This exhibition took place in the United States, specifically in New York City, signifying the budding artist's growing recognition and reach in the art community.
