Brands with Art: The Collaboration between Don Sebas Cassule and RCS Angola
The Vision Behind the Collaboration
The ‘RCS Special Edition’ was commissioned with a clear objective: to capture the company's commitment to Angola, emphasising its long-term vision and its ongoing digitalisation process. Through art, RCS wanted to communicate not only its Angolan identity, but also the balance between humanisation and technology, two essential pillars in the digital age.
Don Sebas Cassule, known for his talent in mixing traditional and contemporary elements, was the artist chosen to materialise this vision. His approach, mixed media on paper (250 gr) measuring 65 x 90 cm, brought to life the duality between Angolan identity and digital transformation, the central proposal of RCS.
The Visual Narrative: RCS's Values and Strategy
Each of the 12 pieces created by Don Sebas Cassule represents a crucial aspect of RCS Angola's culture and strategy. Below, we explore how each value has been interpreted artistically, translating abstract concepts into shapes and colours that dialogue with the viewer.
Commitment (digital transformation strategy) - Highlights RCS's dedication to guiding Angola towards an advanced digital era. Expressionist elements of connectivity and electronic circuits merge with Angolan faces, symbolising the link between digital transformation and human commitment.
Humanism (digital transformation strategy) - "Humanism" is represented by human intervention in technology. The work suggests that, even in an increasingly digital world, the focus on people is paramount. Angolan faces emerge from a digital composition, reminding us that technology must always serve the human being.
Digitalisation (digital transformation strategy) - "Digitalisation" is portrayed as an expanding force, with dynamic lines that evoke digital networks and the fluidity of information. The overlapping of faces suggests a national identity that adapts and strengthens through technology.
Knowledge (digital transformation strategy) - "Knowledge" is symbolised by interconnectivity and the flow of data, representing how digitalisation opens new doors to learning and innovation. The piece suggests that access to information empowers and transforms.
Responsibility (RCS identity) - In "Responsibility", the piece emphasises the importance of acting with integrity and transparency. The connection between technological and human elements suggests that RCS takes seriously its responsibility to create solutions that benefit Angolan society.
Collaboration (RCS value/culture) - "Collaboration" is represented by a network of interactions, where each point of contact interweaves human and digital elements. The piece reflects RCS's culture of working together to achieve common goals.
Partnership (RCS identity) - The "Partnership" piece highlights the strategic alliances that RCS forms to drive digital progress. Visual elements of handshakes and digital networks emphasise the importance of partnerships based on trust and innovation.
Communication (RCS value/culture) - "Communication" is illustrated as a continuous flow of information, with symbols of digital connectivity intertwined with human faces. The piece underlines the importance of clear and efficient communication in RCS's organisational culture.
Persistence (RCS value/culture) - In "Persistence", the work reflects RCS's determination to face challenges and continue to innovate. Firm, repetitive lines create a sense of constant movement, symbolising resilience and continuous progress.
Critical Spirit (RCS value/culture) - "Critical Spirit" is portrayed by dynamic forms that defy conformity. The composition encourages the viewer to think beyond the obvious, representing RCS's culture of questioning and continuous improvement.
Innovation (digital transformation strategy) - "Innovation" emphasises the creativity and boldness needed to lead the digital transformation. The piece is vibrant, with colours and shapes that intertwine to create a sense of discovery and possibility.
Overview - The final piece serves as a synthesis of all the elements covered in the other works. It celebrates the intersection of all RCS's values and strategies, presenting a cohesive vision of the company's corporate identity and commitment to Angola's digital future.
The collaboration between Don Sebas Cassule and RCS Angola has resulted in a collection that not only reflects the company's identity, but also the fusion of tradition and innovation that defines Angola's contemporary scene.
These 12 works are more than just visual representations; they are powerful symbols of the values that guide RCS and the digital transformation that is shaping the country's future.
The ‘RCS Special Edition’ is a shining example of how art can communicate and reinforce a company's mission and values, making complex concepts tangible and inspiring those who come into contact with these pieces.
This project demonstrates once again the power of art to create impact and narratives that resonate far beyond the gallery space.
