Mobolaji John

Ogunbajo Mobolaji John, was born on March 27, 1995, in Lagos, Nigeria and also lives and practices art in Lagos, Nigeria. He is a visual artist and is a graduate of Yaba College of Technology, Department of Fine Arts, Yaba, Lagos, Nigeria and trained at Chronicles studio under Mr. Abiola and De factori studios under Master Akintunde O. John.

The artist explores with different mediums, drawing and painting, such as, acrylic, oil, watercolour, charcoal and pencil and is dedicated to figurativism, portrait, drawings, among other styles. He also explores the underpainting technique, the impressionist style of painting and chiaroscuro.

His works are dominated by warm colours like red and orange so that they can catch the attention of his audience.

Mobolaji has participated in several local and international exhibitions such as Modhafest Virtual Exhibition 2020 (USA), The Juneteenth Festival Exhibition 2021 (USA), Art is Wealth Virtual Exhibition (Nigeria).
