Emmanuel Ojebola

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Emmanuel Ojebola

Emmanuel Ojebola is a Nigerian artist from Eruwa, Oyo State, whose journey into art began in secondary school, later refining his skills at The Ibarapa Polytechnic Eruwa. Specializing in mixed media, he explores human emotions and life’s complexities through coffee, acrylic, and oil.

Beyond painting, Emmanuel also engages in photography, capturing raw emotions through body language and expression. His work blends realism and abstraction, drawing inspiration from personal experiences, particularly the resilience of women, and artistic influences like Gustav Klimt and Egon Schiele.

A full-time studio artist, Emmanuel has exhibited in prominent spaces such as Alexis Gallery (2021) and Art Pantheon Gallery (2022), with international representation on Artsper. His art frequently celebrates masquerades, portraying them as symbols of cultural continuity and resilience while advocating for their renewed appreciation.

Through his work, Emmanuel aims to inspire positive change, bridging tradition and modernity while fostering a deeper connection to cultural heritage.
