"Jogo da bandeira" is a collection of experimental photographs that form part of a project incorporated into a short film. The photographs emerged as a form of documentation for the making of the short film, but over the course of the project they gained enough weight that at the end of the work they could be used independently. The photographs presented here are a small selection from a body of more than 50 photographs. They take on the role of an identified archive of an army made up of fantastic beings who are claiming their place in society through a rebellion that is nothing more than a game of "flag play". The protagonists of this game are the children of the Sambizanga neighbourhood located in Luanda, Angola.
