Five faces raised, mouths open in laughter, eyes reflecting something above – a horizon, a promise, a dream. The vertical composition, almost sculptural, gives them a monumental quality, as if they were one body, one gesture, one voice. The skin is made of paper fragments, collages that carry stories and memories. In the faces, the expressive lines and intensified contrasts in the color palette create a palpable energy, a moment of collective exultation. The hazy background, marked by soft brushstrokes and grayish tones, accentuates even more the light that seems to emanate from the figures. The title is an invitation, but also an unavoidable presence: there is no turning away, for they are here – present, alive, irrepressible.
