About The Artwork

From "Só Belo Mesmo" (Only beautiful)
The central project, entitled "Só Belo Mesmo," began in 2019 with texts and photo essays and was idealised as a project in 2020, including collages and videos. This project is seen as artivism in archive format, where the artist explores the coloniality of power and its impact on Luanda, with the body being the epicentre of the discussion.

By focusing on the body, Pamina criticises the "cishetero patriarchal capitalist racist" structure that shapes society, launching a critique of the coloniality of power and the influence that reverberates in the life of an Angolan queer person. Her artistic process takes the form of writings, photo essays, collages, videos, illustrations and various other forms.
