Olaoluwa

Qozeem Abdulrahman Olaoluwa (b. 2000) is a self-taught contemporary visual artist living and working in Badagry, Nigeria. His practice focuses on realistic mixed media painting, drawing on the intimacy of memory and the textures of rural life.

In 2018, he began his artistic journey as a studio assistant at EFstudio under the guidance of Mr. Agemo Francis. Since then, Olaoluwa has developed a deeply personal visual language, using acrylic, paper, and charcoal on canvas to evoke the nostalgia and innocence of childhood.

Raised in a rural environment, his works are often rooted in the vivid memories of play, community, and personal growth. These moments—ordinary yet emotionally rich—become the foundation for layered, realistic compositions that resonate with a universal longing for simpler times.

Olaoluwa has gained international recognition for his work, exhibiting both locally and abroad, including in Spain, Colombia, and Nigeria.
