Marques

Marques is a self-taught artist who began his professional journey in 2018. Inspired by a rich variety of artistic movements, such as Impressionism, Surrealism and Contemporary Art, Marques is also deeply influenced by existentialist philosophy, which shapes his exploration of the human figure. The human body, in its physical presence and its metaphysical significance, is central to his artistic practice.

Since 2018, Marques has actively participated in several group exhibitions, both in Angola and internationally, showcasing his growing collection of work. A significant milestone in his career occurred in 2021, when he held his first solo exhibition. Marques' art continues to focus on the human figure, using it as a vehicle to explore the deeper aspects of existence and provoke reflection in those who come across his works.
