Daniel Gyekyi Gyan

Daniel Gyekyi Gyan is a Ghanaian artist born in the Greater Accra Region. He discovered his talent for art at a young age and pursued formal education in the field at Salem Senior High School in Accra. To further hone his skills, he attended Ghanatta College of Art and Design.

Currently, Daniel works out of Gyekyi-D Art Studio, where he brings his subjects to life using a unique combination of acrylic paint and modeling paste. His technique involves the use of a palette knife to create small, intricate strokes that add texture and depth to his work. Each character he paints is masterfully captured with warmth, honesty, and raw energy.

As a seasoned painter, Daniel communicates with his community through his contemporary paintings, which often feature models, cultural themes, children, and aspects of social life. His series frequently depict African models as well as those from the diaspora, reflecting a rich tapestry of experiences and identities.
