Izabiriza Moise

Izabiriza Moise is a self-taught Rwandan contemporary artist whose practice bridges abstract painting, mixed media installations, and emotional storytelling. Born in Rwanda and artistically active since 2012, Moise has developed a distinctive visual language that reflects his inner world and speaks to universal themes of healing, resilience, and transformation.

Working primarily in semi-abstract and abstract forms, Moise’s paintings explore colour, shape, and texture with an intuitive sensitivity. His installations—created through repetitive processes like weaving, rolling, sewing, and twisting—evoke movement, depth, and a meditative quality that invites reflection.

For Moise, art is more than expression—it is a therapeutic force. His works are driven by a deep belief in art’s power to restore emotional, mental, and physical well-being, positioning creativity as a tool for personal and collective healing.

Moise has exhibited widely, both locally in Rwanda and internationally, earning recognition for his intricate processes and impact-driven practice. His art stands as a call for unity, introspection, and care—transforming individual emotion into shared human experience.
